Nathaniel Warren was born on April 11, 1929 in Hilltop, Maryland, located in Charles County, to the late Yellie Y. and Laura E. Warren. He departed this life on July 17, 2020, peacefully, at home with his wife by his side.

Nathaniel served in the United States Army in 1951 until he was Honorably Discharged. Shortly after his discharge from the Service he began his career training as a carpenter under the leadership of Mr. Perry Crawford and Mr. Samuel Jackson. He worked for the District of Columbia Government as a carpenter until his retirement. He loved carpentry work and helped to build houses; remodeling, and repairing houses for many neighbors, friends and family. He was also a truck driver and had a passion for delivering saw dust to people who had horses. Nathaniel was a jack of all trades.

At a young age, Nathaniel joined Zion Baptist Church in Hilltop, Maryland where he was baptized. During his membership, he served on the Usher Board and sang in the choir.

Later on in life, he joined Mt. Hope Baptist Church, located in Nanjemoy, Maryland. There he served as an usher, trustee and sang with the Male Choir. At Mt. Hope, he also played the harmonica and served on the Building Fund Committee. He loved reading the word of God, and his favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm.

In addition to his parents, Nathaniel was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Warren, Martha Fisher, Irene Fisher, Laura Warren, Rachel Wills and Christine Savoy; brothers, Aljourn, James, Roland, Samuel and Rev. Yancey Warren.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 69 years, Annie, one sister, Madeline Johnson, four sisters-in-law, Betty Ross, Shirley Lewis, Geraldine Ward, Virginia May (James) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
