Michael Edward Caspar, Jr. of Waldorf, MD died on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in his home. He was born on October 28, 1938 in Washington, D.C. to the late Michael and Vivian Caspar, Sr. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He retired from WMATA (Metro) after 28 years working as a Painter in the Plant Maintenance Department. He was a volunteer firefighter for Oxon Hill Fire Company 42/21 for over 10 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise P. Caspar, his brother John David Caspar, Sr., his sister, Gerry "Cookie" Alan and his daughter-in-law, Wanda Caspar. Michael was a devoted husband, loving father and great provider for his family. He is survived by his two sons, James Caspar of Lusby, MD and Dennis Caspar (Stephanie) of Burke, VA; four grandchildren (Brandon (Crystal), Danielle (Matthew), Jason and Luke) and two great-grandchildren (Mason and Sebastian). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, 6/18/2020 at 11:00AM in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
