Linda Faye (Raffeo) Kendall, 68, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away peacefully at University of Maryland Charles Regional Hospital in LaPlata, MD on May 31, 2020.

Linda was born on February 8, 1952 in Tuscaloosa, AL to Peter Paul Raffeo and Margie (LeRoy) Raffeo. Linda's dad served in the Air Force for 30+ years and the family lived in many locations both in and out of the country. Linda was the oldest of five siblings. Linda graduated from high school in Idaho in 1970 and just a few weeks after graduation received a job offer working for the Federal Bureau of Investigations in their HQ location in Washington, D.C.

She soon met and fell in love with John A. Kendall, Jr., and married on April 10, 1976. Together they shared 44 years of happiness. Linda continued working for the FBI her entire federal career and retired as a Records Supervisor in 2007 with 36+ years of loyal, dedicated service. She loved her job and made many wonderful friends during her career. Shortly after her retirement from the FBI Satellite Office in Clarksburg, WV, where they spent nearly 14 years, Linda and Johnny returned to Southern MD rejoining the rest of the Kendall family and finally bought their first home in October 2008.

A gambler at heart, Linda spent many nights with Johnny and his family and friends at Rosecroft Raceway trying their luck on horses. She also loved the casinos especially playing the slots. The family made many trips by car and bus to Atlantic City. There are many CRAZY stories about those trips! She also loved playing poker with the Kendall boys and friends and could definitely hold her own in any hot poker game! She always enjoyed spending time with her family. When she enjoyed a quiet day at home, it often included watching her favorite game shows, western movies and many other favorite shows, including Perry Mason and Star Trek.

Linda was adored and loved by her family and friends. To know her was to know a kind, loving, generous and happy soul. She will be sorely missed and memories of her will last a lifetime.

Linda is survived by her husband, John A. Kendall, Jr., of Mechanicsville, MD; siblings, Dennis (Lorna) Raffeo of Winter Park, FL, Michael (Shelly) Raffeo of Clovis, CA and Barbara Raffeo of Fresno, CA; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her lifelong best friends, Mary Ann and Dave Gouge. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Peter Raffeo, Jr.

The family will receive friends for Linda's Life Celebration on Friday, June 5, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
