Rindy Pauline Montgomery, 77, of St. Leonard, Md. passed away peacefully on Monday June 1, 2020 at home. Rindy was born in Kingsport, TN on March 11, 1943 to the late Bettie Lee and Paris Warren.

Rindy is survived by her two brothers Guy and Clint Warren, and Granddaughter Bobbi Parks (Aaron Carter), and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and 11 other siblings she is preceded in death by her husband Willie James Montgomery, and children David Allen Montgomery, Barbara Gean Parks, Kenneth Willie Montgomery, and James Gillis Montgomery.

More than anything, Rindy loved her family. She was a caregiver by nature, putting others before herself all too often. Cooking big family meals and gathering her loved ones was among her favorite things to do. Along with her husband, she loved to garden, planting flowers as well as fruits and vegetables. She was a lover of the sun and being outdoors. In her earlier years you could catch her laying out in the yard, picking veggies from the garden, or enjoying the breeze on her porch. Rindy loved country music, which could be heard playing in and outside of her home at all times. She enjoyed shopping, reading, and watching her "stories and game shows". She was an armed security guard for the Nuclear Power Plant for many years before partially retiring, and settling into a part time job as a cafeteria worker at Appeal Elementary School. As a young child she had to abandon her studies at the 6th grade to help her family on the farm. Obtaining her High School Diploma was one of the many things she'd hoped to accomplish one day. After marrying, she spent all of her time raising their 3 children while working. After leaving the Nuclear Power Plant she set her mind to accomplishing that goal. In 1998 she earned her High School Diploma, striking it off her bucket list. Rindy was a funny, kind, humble, and strong woman. Despite the untimely losses over her lifetime, she found comfort and strength in her faith. She was loved and will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held at Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic Maryland 20676 on Saturday June 6, 2020 from 10am until the time of the funeral service 12pm. Interment will follow in Broomes Island Cemetery.
