Robert "Bob" Milton Taber, Sr. of Dunkirk, MD, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020, at the age of 80.

He was born on July 17, 1939, in East McKeesport, PA, to Helen M. [Aults] and Russell Roland Taber.

Bob was a veteran having served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed working on cars, Ten-pin bowling and watching football. In 1997, Bob retired from Steamfitters Local 602.

He was the beloved husband of Laura Lee [Shoener] Taber and the loving father of Ronnie Taber (Vicki) of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Dan Taber of Waldorf, MD and Bobby Taber (Mona) of Chesapeake Beach, MD. He was the "Pop Pop" of Shannon Taber (Claudia) of Crofton, MD, Rachel, Jessica and Bobby James Taber all of Chesapeake Beach, MD; and "Great Pop Pop" of Milo Taber of Crofton, MD and Lydia Carter of Chesapeake Beach, MD. Bob was the "Grand Bob" of Sheri Powell (Randy) of Davidsonville, MD, Karen Hall of North Beach, MD and Alan Shoener of Huntingtown, MD; and the "Great Grand Bob" of Cody and Skyler Shoener of Huntingtown, MD, Shannon Shoener of Florida, Melanie Shoener of Baltimore, MD and Libby Powell of Davidsonville, MD. He is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Margaret Ann Taber.

A Viewing will be held at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736, on Thursday, June 4th from 11 am until start of Funeral Services at 1 pm. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.

- 50 to 75 people max at any given time in Funeral Home.
- Limit visitation to 15 minutes in visitation room to allow for others to express their condolences.
- Funeral Services in Chapel limited to 70 people with four (4) people per pew.
