On Friday, May 8, 2020 at University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center, Towson, Maryland, Mary Coates peacefully transitioned to eternal rest.

Her Viewing will be 4:00 pm, Prayers, 5:00 pm, Service, 6:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2020, in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 20, 2020, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment, Church Cemetery.
