Tammy Sue (Reece) Bowen, age 52, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital Leonardtown, MD. She was born on August 8, 1967 in La Plata, MD and was the daughter of the late Robert L. Reece, Sr. and Shirley M. Reece (Corbin-Pulliam).

Tammy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She had a vibrant personality, loved to love and most of all cherished being with her family. Her sons Preston and Justin, were the greatest joy in her life, and her smile will be irreplaceable. She never met a 'stranger" and was easy to make a friend wherever she went.

Those who knew Tammy, loved her instantly. She had a big heart and touched so many of us with a lasting impression that will never be forgotten. She was an extraordinary and one-of-a-kind person; loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. It was a great honor to have her as part of our lives; words cannot express how much she was loved and how much she will be missed. We know that everyone who knew her will forever have a place in their hearts for the goodness and kindness she brought. This will forever be treasured. Tammy, born and raised in St. Mary's County, MD was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, having cookouts and sharing dinner with family and friends. She enjoyed picking crabs, preparing homemade crab cakes, and other local favorites with family recipes. She loved everything about the outdoors, yard sales, fishing, crabbing, camping or just hanging out at the beach. Tammy attended Leonardtown High School, owned and operated a cleaning business. In her spare time, she loved to create beautiful flower arrangements and centerpieces.

Tammy is survived by her son Justin Bowen. In addition, she is survived by five siblings; Robert Reece, Jr. (Sandy) of Mechanicsville, MD; Tommy Reece (Betty Lou) of Lexington Park, MD; Scott (Scottie) Reece of Lexington Park, MD; Lisa Raley (Tom) of Park Hall, MD; Brian "Scooter" Corbin (Marie) of Leonardtown, MD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and 2 very dear friends, Louise Goddard and Ray Yarber. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Preston A. Bowen.

All Funeral Services will be private at this time,
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Reece, Katie Corbin, Kayla Corbin, Erica Reece, Hannah Reece, and Alex Reece. Honorary pallbearers Robin Reece, Jordan Raley, Thomas Raley, Jr, Lacy Raley, Kara Corbin, Kacie Corbin, Landon Stone, and Robert Stone.
