Alice Kathleen (Dukie) Pollock, age 78, passed away on May 7, 2020 at the home of her nephew and niece, Nathaniel and Tammy Campbell, surrounded by her family. Alice was born September 4, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late Edward Leo and Mary Louise Smith. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Lexington Park, Md. where she was raised. She attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Ridge, Md. and graduated in 1959.

Alice was employed as a cashier/bookkeeper at A&P (SuperFresh) Food store in Lexington Park, Md. for over 33 years. After her retirement, she worked 10 years at DYNCORP on Patuxent Naval Air Station. She enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, television game shows, football games (Redskins), bowling, and baseball (Orioles and Nationals were her teams). She spoiled every newborn in the Smith Family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was born in the Catholic faith and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she served as a greeter and Eucharistic minister.

After a long engagement, Alice was united in Holy Matrimony to Furney V. Pollock, Jr. on January 4, 1985. They shared the gifts of God's love and each other for more than 40 years.

Alice leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Furney V. Pollock, Jr. of Atoka, TN; her brothers, Edward R. Smith (Patricia) of Lexington Park, Md. and Herbert Smith (Karen) of Lusby, Md.; her sisters, Theresa Mason (Daniel) of Mechanicsville, Md., and Brenda Carroll (Martin) of Lexington Park, Md.; her brothers-in-law, Bobbie L. Pollock and Allen P. Pollock (Maxine) of Philadelphia, PA, Jansen C. Pollock (Janet) of Bellwood, IL and Jimmy S. Pollock (Kathy) of Jacksonville, NC; two sisters-in-law, Beverly D. Pollock of Philadelphia, PA and Valencia Smith of Lexington Park, Md., and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

She also leaves much love to her godchildren - Jacqueline Bankins, Reuben Smith, Dwayne Herndon, Alice Marlene Crute, Cheryl Barnes, and Tammy Campbell and her special friends - Liz Kelly, Catherine Price, Brenda Russell, Estelle Thompson, Catherine Herndon and Delores Kelly, and her surviving classmates - Patrick Hawkins and John Porter.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by two sisters, Constance Roberson and Hilda Brown (Austin); one brother, Marvin Smith; one sister-in-law, Velvet Pollock, and one nephew, Demetrius Brown.

The family would like to thank you Nathaniel (Roddy), Tammy, and Nathaniel Paul Campbell for the love and support provided during Alice's time of need.
