Naomi Carol Sullivan, 84, of Waldorf, Md. departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2020 in La Plata, Md. Carol was born on February 15, 1936 in West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Austin Tenney and Myrtle Dove (Thompson) Tenney and the youngest of 12 children.

Carol married the love of her life, Francis Woodrow Sullivan on April 2, 1955. They were married 39 years until his passing in 1994. Together they raised 7 children; Sheila C. Smith (Smitty), Francis W. Sullivan, Jr. (Linda), Lawrence K. Sullivan (Lori), Donna E. Strong (Bud), Patrick M. Sullivan, Stuart S. Sullivan (Tammy), and Sonny L. Sullivan (Jennifer).

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all that she knew. She loved her family tremendously and always put them first. When Carol wasn't loving on and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles, bowling, bingo, and yard sales. Carol provided loving day care to many children over the years, ultimately retiring in 2013.

Carol is survived by her children, her sister, Donna Lou Powers (Bob) and brother in law, John Sullivan, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

All services will be private at this time.

Carol will be interred with her beloved husband at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Md.
