Alice Hope Pickett, 70, of Flagler Beach, FL and formerly of Port Tobacco, MD, was welcomed into Heaven on April 22, 2020 following an extended illness. Her husband of 53 years and their three daughters surrounded her in love as she passed peacefully at home.

Alice was born on June 7, 1949 in Falls Church, VA to Edward and Gladys Hope. She spent her early childhood years in Bryans Road, MD and attended Lackey High School before moving to Oxon Hill, MD where she graduated from Oxon Hill High School in 1967.

She married the love of her life, Larry Pickett, on February 18, 1967. Over the years Alice found enjoyment working as an Administrative Assistant for various government agencies, a Home Health Aide, a Cake Decorator and a Floral Designer and Delivery person. Always one to help others, Alice volunteered at her children's school during their childhood and was active in the Port Tobacco Elementary and James Craik Elementary PTO. In more recent years, she continued to give graciously of her time to Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the church choir and the United Methodist Women. Alice held various offices in the UMW, and she also supported the church's efforts to help children and families in their community.

Alice loved her family and treasured the time she spent with them most of all. She is survived by her husband, Larry; three daughters, Allison Morrison Folks, Terri Nicolau, and Nichole Garner (Brent); nine grandchildren, Matthew Crenshaw (Whitney), Justin Crenshaw (Jami), Jessica Hebert (John), Tyler Morrison (Natasha), Bryan Nicolau (Meridy), Bryce Nicolau (Paige), Brady Nicolau, Jacob McGhee-Garner, and Sydney Garner; as well as eight great-grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters, Nancy Weber, Betsy Hope, George Hope, Mary Jones, Andy Hope, Peggy Brown, Patricia Hope, Randy Donahue, Anthony Donahue, and Scott Donahue also survive her.

Alice joins in Heaven her parents, Ed and Gladys, and Helen Donahue Hope; brothers Bobby, Eddie, and Tommy Hope; as well as her Son-in-law Dusty Folks.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Flagler Beach United Methodist Church and also at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, MD with a burial to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
