Frank "Sunny" Thompson Bibb, Jr., 73, of Dunkirk, Maryland passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. He was born on February 23, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank Thompson Bibb, Sr., and Pauline (Fish) Morris.

Sunny proudly served in the U.S. Army and honored his country during both peace and wartime, specifically, the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a proud American who was honorably discharged in June 1976, after serving his country and family proud. Sunny was a Master Electrician by trade and a member of the Electrical Workers Local Union 26. He retired from Local Union 26 in 2005.

As a young man, Sunny was an avid weight lifter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching old western movies, listening to country music, collecting coins, and was an animal lover. His greatest joy and passion was time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His tough exterior was matched with his loving, caring interior. His kind soul will continue to be remembered by family and friends. Sunny will be greatly missed.

Sunny is survived by his life companion of 45 years, Marcelle Miller of Dunkirk, Maryland; brother, Donney Bibb (Renee) of Waldorf, Maryland; step-daughters, Kathleen Akil (Sam) of Sunderland, Maryland and Wendy Blancke (George) of Owings, Maryland; grandchildren, Matthew Curtin (Erica), Alyssa Blancke and Hannah Akil; great-grandchildren, Ava Curtin and Charlotte Curtin; and close friend and caregiver, Alexander LoBianco. He was preceded in death by his parents.
