Shirley May Parrish, 79, of La Plata, MD, passed away November 13, 2008, in La Plata, MD.

Mrs. Parrish was a waitress at the American Legion in Greenbelt, MD. She was of the catholic faith and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in La Plata.

Born September 19, 1929, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late William F. Clarke and the late Viola Righter Clarke.

Predeceased by her parents and her husband, Charles M. Holsclaw.

Survived by her daughter, Lori Boyd, of Hughesville, MD.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Father Ron Potts will officiate. Interment will follow at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
