Anna Elizabeth "Naya" Tankesley, 57, of Lusby, Md. passed away on April 2, 2020 at her residence.

Born August 11, 1962 in Pensacola, Florida, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Wance) Andrews and the late James Andrews.

Naya graduated from Northwestern High School in 1980. She married her husband, Carl Tankesley, Jr. on December 14, 1981. She moved to Calvert County from Prince George's County in 2001. Naya was a Human Resources Specialist for the Patent & Trademark Office for over twenty years, retiring in 2015.

Naya is survived by her husband, Carl Tankesley, Jr.; her mother, Elizabeth Andrews of Lusby, Md.; her children, Frank Tankesley (Christine) of Lusby, Md., Britany Tankesley of Lusby, Md., Carl Tankesley III (Catherine) of Wheaton, Md., Chrysta Marshall (Buddy) of Honaker, VA, Joseph Borum of Lusby, Md. and Penny King of Lusby, Md.; thirteen grandchildren; and siblings, James Andrews (Sharon) of MO, David Andrews (Joyce) of Md., Melinda Reese (Patrick) of SC and Donald Andrews of NC.
