John Joseph Noel, 81, of Solomons, Maryland (formerly of Waldorf, Maryland), was born in Washington, DC November 28, 1938 and passed away on April 8, 2020 from complications of pneumonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ethel Noel, sister Jeanne Pryble and daughter-in-law Mary Noel. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Angela, children Brian and Mark of George Town, Grand Cayman Island and Renee of Chapel Hill, NC, and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

John was the president and owner of Noel Sheet Metal Fabrication, which he started in 1980. Prior to that he was a mechanic with sheet metal Local 100 union contractors. John was a volunteer for the reconstruction of the steeple at St. Joseph's Church in Pomfret, Maryland, a softball coach for SMYO, and involved in many other community events. John also was an avid Washington Nationals and Redskins fan, and thoroughly enjoyed cheering on the Nationals at several playoffs and World Series games in 2019. He was a friend to many and dearly loved his family, as well as spending summers tending to his garden.
