Jan Catherine King, 65, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on March 14, 2020 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in LaPlata, MD. Born on September 20, 1954 in Yokehama, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor Janet Nunn and William Badey.

On April 25, 1992 Jan married the love of her life, Lawrence W. King, in Charlotte Hall, MD and together they spent 27 wonderful years of marriage. Jan worked at 27 Naval Air System Command at Patuxent River as a Tech Info Specialist until her retirement in 1999. When she wasn't working, Jan loved to spend her free time outdoors. She especially loved the water and often went fishing and crabbing.

In addition to her loving husband, Jan is survived by her two siblings: William Badey of Myrtle Beach, VA and Michele Badey of Fairfax, VA. She is preceded in death by her parents. All services will be private. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A.
