Mary "Sadie" Gross, 84 of Hughesville, MD, Philadelphia, PA, died on November 11, 2008 at her residence.

Born on April 5, 1924 in Dentsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Marie Elizabeth Bowman Gross. Ms. Gross retired as a Manager for Dry Cleaner. She has resided in this area for about 8 years. She enjoyed sewing which she made all of her clothes. Also enjoyed traveling and cruising, and food. She traded stocks and bonds.

Survived by siblings, Harriet T. Patterson, Shirley A. Stewart, Mary E. Young, William K., James O., Thomas H., and Francis A. Gross, sister-in-laws, Doris, Shirley, Mildred, and Henrietta Gross, and also many other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by brothers, James S., Charles N., James B., Jr., and Joseph E. Gross.

Family will receive friends today, Friday, November 14, 2008 from 10-11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13735 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617 where a Mass will be celebrated at 11AM with Reverend Lawrence Young celebrating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
