Peggy Marie "Nanny" Shenton, 87, of Solomons, MD passed away on January 19, 2020 at Calvert Health Medical Center. Born December 31, 1932 in Prince Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Nelson E. Lusby and Agnes V. (Parks) Lusby. Peggy attended Our Lady Star of the Sea High School. She married James A. Shenton on February 27, 1960 in Solomons, MD and was a housewife.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Sue Ann Sady (Joseph) of Prince Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Christopher Sady, Steven Sady, Brittany Peters and Katie VanNess; ten great-grandchldren; one great-great grandchild; and her brother Albert Lusby of LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Shenton on August 26, 1999; her daughters, Sharon Matchie and Michelle Dare; and her siblings, Ronald Lusby and Rose Gibbons.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Father Ken Gill on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Solomons, MD. Interment followed in Solomons United Methodist Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Martin Gibbons, Christopher Sady, Jeremy Matchie, Ray Lusby, Bow Lusby, and Little Martin Gibbons.
