Patricia Marie Bearden Waybright, 79, of La Plata, MD passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. Pat was born on August 19, 1940, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late Edward Hampson and Ruth (Fertig) Hampson.

Always willing to follow her heart, Pat met and married her first husband, Jim Bearden. They celebrated 39 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. Together, they raised three (3) sons. Lucky enough to find love again, Pat married James "Jim" Waybright, and they spent thirteen (13) years together.

She was a wonderful woman who loved her family. She adored having everyone together for a family dinner. Pat loved to travel with some of her favorite places being any port her cruise ship docked. Having traveled to locations in the Caribbean, Alaska and even a European cruise, Pat was a cultured woman. An avid reader, she could be found with her nose in a book, magazine or newspaper. Her bright smile and quick wit will be dearly missed. To know Pat was to know a kind, loving soul. Memories of her inherent joy will last a lifetime for her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her husband, Jim Waybright of La Plata; and sons, Michael E. Bearden (Joan) of Mechanicsville, MD, Steven W. Bearden (Melissa) of Owings, MD and Eric P. Bearden (Katherine) of Helen, MD; and five (5) grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband.

The family will receive friends for Pat's Visitation on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service being heard at 7:45 p.m. all at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
