William B. Hancock, Sr. "Billy", 86, of Loveville, MD passed away on January 5, 2020 in Leonardtown, MD. He was born on October 1, 1933 in Loveville, MD and was the loving son of the late Mary Alma Long Hancock and Joseph Morgan Hancock. Billy was the loving husband of Sarah M. Tippett Hancock whom he married on Nov 26, 1955 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morganza, MD.

Billy is survived by his children Barbara Anderson of Mechanicsville, MD, Bill Hancock (Joanie) of Loveville, MD, Kevin Hancock (Lori) of Solomons, MD, and Mark Hancock (Chandra) of Leonardtown, MD. As well as his grandchildren Sherri, Wesley, Ryan, Kayla, Ashley, Kelsey, Josh, Delaney, Katie, and Julie. Great grandchildren Sarah, Hailey, Kylie, and Emily. Siblings Joseph F. Hancock, Charles Hancock, and Reggie Hancock. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Robert Hancock and his sister Mary Agnes Bailey.

He was a lifelong St. Mary's County, MD resident and attended St. Mary's Academy. Billy was the Owner of Hancock Refrigeration in Loveville, MD for 28 years, retiring in March of 1998. Billy enjoyed tractors, cars, yardwork and mostly enjoyed spending time with family. He was always working outside even if it met picking weeds out of his driveway.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Catholic Church Morganza, MD where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Father Keith Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Hancock, Sherri Jenkins, Kayla Cannon, Ryan Hancock, Ashley Hancock, and Josh Hancock. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay Guy, Alan Bailey, Paul Goldsborough, Guy Tippett, Wilbur Tippett, and Brad Wheeler. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Leonardtown Vol. Rescue Squad P.O. Box 299 Leonardtown, MD 20650 and St. Mary's Nursing Home 21585 Peabody Street Leonardtown, MD 20650.
