Alcione Tiglao Johnson, of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the age of 61 after a 4 ½ year fight with stage IV ovarian cancer. Cione, as she was best known by her friends and family, was born to parents Socrates and Maria Corazon Tiglao on December 12, 1957 in Daet, Camarines Norte, Philippines. She migrated to the United States of America with her mother, four brothers, Froilan, Percival (Luna Rose), Neptali (Nina) and Leonides (Fe), and two sisters, Edwina (David) and Eleanor (Ignacio), where she became an American citizen and embraced the opportunities that lay in front of her. In the late 1980s, she worked diligently as a Head Bank Teller of a national bank as she raised two daughters as a single mother.

In 1989, Cione married her best friend, Lonnie Johnson, and together had three daughters and one son. Cione had a soul as beautiful as she was. She was generous and dedicated her life to family and friends. She loved unconditionally. Cione was essential in creating the foundation by which her family is still currently supported. She raised her children in her image, and through them, her legacy will forever live. Her last moments were spent exactly how she would have wanted, surrounded by the people she loved most.

Cione is survived by her husband, Lonnie; her mother, Maria; her daughters, Christina (David) Ferguson, Monica (Adam) King and Rebecca Johnson; her son, Brandon (Megan) Johnson; her five grandchildren, Kyla, Marlee, Reina, James and Ashleigh; and her six siblings. She is preceded in death by her father, Socrates.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service that will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 8816 Chesapeake Avenue, North Beach, Maryland 20714 on Friday, December 13, 2019. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m, immediately followed by mass.
