Duane A. "Don" Beeler, 69 of California, MD and formerly of Elbow Lake, MN, died November 1, 2008. He was born on October 15, 1939 to Viola L. Beeler of Barrett, MN and the late Chester A. Beeler.

He was the loving husband of Lucia P. Beeler whom he married at Andrew's Air Force Base on February 13, 1960.

He is also survived by his daughter Dawn Medley and her husband Chip of Waldorf, MD, his son David Beeler and his wife Madeline of Fredericksburg, VA, his sister Sharon Beeler of GA and four grandchildren; RJ, Christopher, Sean and Kaytlin.

A graduate of Elbow Lake High School "Class of 1957", Don was an Optician at Henson Optical. He was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from November 6, 1957 to November 3, 1961. He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting and playing chess.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 1:00-2:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
