Ella "Marie Ireland, age 84, passed away at her residence in Lusby, MD on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Ella Marie Ireland, nee Edwards was born on October 12, 1924 in Prince Frederick, MD to the late William Isaac Edwards and the late Ella Victoria Lusby Edwards.

Mrs. Ireland was a lifelong resident of Calvert County MD. After her retirement from the United States Government her main focus in life was looking after and helping others. She was a lifelong member of Olivet United Methodist Church, Lusby, MD.

Marie was the devoted wife of the late Elbert Ireland; loving mother of Gail Marie Dove, of Lusby, MD and her finance` Ernest Jones; beloved grandmother of Kevin Ray Dove, of Lusby, MD and her sister Louise Bowen, of Prince Frederick, MD. She is also survived by her devoted companion of twenty five years Gordon Garner, of Solomons, MD and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, at Olivet United Methodist Church, 13575 Olivet Road, Lusby, MD at 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were John Ireland, Keith Bowen, Brent Bowen, Ray Dove, Kevin Dove, and Tom Younger.
