June Shaw Henderson of Benedict, Maryland died on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. She was 81 years old.

She was born on June 1, 1925 in Canada. She moved to the United States where she worked as a bookkeeper for a real estate company in Washington, DC and later as a bookkeeper for her husband's business while raising her family. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. Mrs. Henderson loved her cats, her daschund Snoopy, playing the piano and spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Episcopal faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and her sister in Canada; her son Peter C. Henderson.

She is survived by her husband Charles Neal Henderson; sons William T. and his wife Janice Henderson of Benedict, MD, Thomas B. and his wife Tina Henderson of Dunkirk, MD; grandchildren Amber Henderson, Joseph Henderson, Brent Henderson, Kenneth Henderson and Brian Henderson.

Family to receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 from 3PM to 5PM and from 7PM to 9PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Maryland where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 9AM with Reverend Kenneth McDonald officiating. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be Joseph Henderson, Brent Henderson, Kenneth Henderson, James Goodenough and Chad Boggs.
