Dorothy Marie Oliver Babcock, 57, of Lexington Park, died on November 23, 2019 at her home. Born on July 18, 1962, she was the daughter of the late John Francis Oliver and Doris Elizabeth Friess.

Dorothy is a 1980 graduate of Chopticon High School. On June 6, 1981, she married her beloved husband, Robert Edward Babcock, Jr. in California, MD. Together they celebrated over 28 wonderful years of marriage. She was a long time bus driver, transporting many students to and from school for many dedicated years of service. She enjoyed cooking and made delicious family meals, with her specialty being lasagna, meatloaf, and macaroni and cheese. She and her husband enjoyed travelling to the Virginia mountains. She also enjoyed country music, including, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Elvis, and Patsy Kline. She enjoyed decorating, especially for the holidays and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Gregory Babcock (Stacy) of Ashburn, VA and Kay Bailey (Daniel) of Lexington Park, MD; her siblings: John Oliver, Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Bushwood, MD, Michael Oliver of Lexington Park, MD, Patricia Norris (Dickie) of Brookshire, TX and Julia Oliver (John) of Hollywood, MD; and her grandchildren: Daniel Christopher Bailey, Jr., Kiaya Nicole Bailey, Cassidy Ann Parker and Nathaniel Edward Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 1, 2019 for a visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a Service of Remembrance celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Rd. Leonardtown, MD 20650. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A.
