Carol W. Tice of Clinton, MD passed peacefully during the afternoon of Tuesday, October 29, 2019 with her loved ones by her side. Born in Washington, DC the daughter of Loretta Funk Wildensteiner and Conrad Wildensteiner. Carol grew up in District Heights, MD and graduated from Suitland High School, Class of 1970. She attended and excelled at Frostburg State University and graduated in 1974 with a Master's Degree in Education.

Carol met Michael one night in August 1972 at a bar in Washington, DC. She had a drink in her hand when she turned around to talk to a friend and ended up spilling the drink on Michael's back, who happened to be sitting at the table behind her. Michael knew a good opportunity when he saw one and quickly started chatting her up. Their relationship took off from there and they were married on August 4, 1979. Their union lasted for 40 years.

Carol and Michael raised their family in Clinton, MD. Carol worked as an elementary school teacher for the Prince George's County school district for 30 years. She excelled in helping her students achieve their educational goals. It is safe to say that education was her passion.

Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed attending her book clubs. She loved to travel, documented with the boxes of home movies she collected. She adored playing games and was known to be a card shark. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her grandkids and Face Timing them if they weren't nearby. She treasured all animals and was affectionately known as the dog whisperer. She was deeply involved in her church and reveled in her church family. She was a Candy Crush aficionado even though there were times it took her a year to pass one level, but she was persistent and never gave up.

She took great joy in spending time with the ladies of the Red Hat Society. And, of course, every family gathering was not complete without her beloved crab feasts. Her spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Beloved wife of Michael Lee Tice; devoted mother of Jeannie René Rodenburg and her husband Stephen of Turlock, CA, Stefanie Lee Cole and her fiancé Sean McKeever of Clinton, MD and Michael Paul Tice of Hanover, MD; dear sister of Mary Goebel and her husband Jim of Mt.
