Soddye Johnson, 96, of La Plata, MD passed away on Saturday September 21, 2019. Soddye was born on August 23, 1923 in Hot Springs, VA to the late John and Annie King. Soddye is survived by her sons; Cassius Johnson, Lamar Johnson, Jr., and Gregory Johnson daughter; Angela Stafford and 11 Grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 2, 2019 from 11 AM until Mass time at 11:30 AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Church Waldorf, MD. Interment to follow in the St. Peters Church Cemetery Waldorf, MD. Arrangements by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
