Brittania "Britt" Lucille Bastain, 83, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Nanjemoy, MD, passed away October 13, 2008.

Mrs. Bastain was a homemaker who enjoyed working on the water and farming. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and reading.

Born August 4, 1925, in Smith Point, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lazarus Peter Dodd and the late Mary Frances Bowie.

Predeceased by her parents; husband Oscar L. Bastain; one son, Paul Lester Zanko; and one sister, Emma Scott.

Survived by one son, Peter Edward Zanko of Deltona, FL; two daughters, Sharon Bastain Amabile of FL and Juanita Sartori of FL; two step-children, Linwood Leo Bastain of FL and Barbara P. Griffith of White Plains, MD; one sister, Mary Estelle Evans of Great Mills, MD; 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 17, 2008, 6-8 PM, Nanjemoy Baptist Church.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008, 11 AM, Nanjemoy Baptist Church, with Rev. James Cunningham officiating. Interment will be at Nanjemoy Baptist Church Cemetery.
