Susan Mary Oak, 90, of Dunkirk, MD passed on Tuesday September 24, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ireland she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Suzanne ( O'Rourke) Alford.

She was the beloved wife of Rodney R. Oak. They were married for 65 years. She enjoyed dancing(she had been a competition dancer in Ireland), knitting, shopping, gardening, traveling, drinking Irish tea while sitting on the back porch, watching the World Cup, and spending time with family.

Along with her husband Rodney, she is survived by their two children; a daughter Carol Lewis(Mike) and a son Brendan Oak(Cindy), three grandchildren; Breanna, Danica, and Michael Jr., and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at Lee Funeral Home-Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1601 W. Mt. Harmony Road, Owings, MD 20736., on Wednesday October 2, 2019 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in her name may be made to Calvert Hospice, P.O. Box 838, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
