Mabel S. Petralia of Sunderland, MD passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born in Clintwood, VA in 1943 to Jahena Senter. Mabel moved to Alexandria, VA and started working at Reagan National Airport. This is where she met her life partner and forever love Albert Petralia, Jr.

Together Mabel and Al worked hard and started their own business. Over the years they had been known to be real estate investors. All of this enabled them to live a beautiful and full life. Mabel loved all animals and regularly watched the "Animal Planet". She enjoyed watching the animals on her property, whether in the sky or roaming the grounds. She was soft and tender hearted to all living creatures and was known to have persuaded feral animals to be a part of her family.

Mabel was an avid gardener. In her later years her back deck became her personnel creation of color. She found great joy on Mother's Day and her birthday, because she knew she would receive beautiful plants from everyone. She especially loved orchids and never met one she couldn't grow. Mabel had a smile for everyone and never met a stranger. Over the years she became "Mom" and/or "Nana" to most people she met.

Mabel was the beloved wife of the late Albert Petralia, Jr., who passed away in September 2017. They are finding peace once again together in heaven. She was the loving mother of Marie Denise Petralia Levin (Robert) and Albert Petralia, III. She was the devoted "Nana" of Nicholas Michael DeHart (Alexandra), Albert Petralia, IV, Nikolas Alexander Parrish and Dominic Salvatore Petralia. She is also survived by her sisters Ruby Dultton, Elizabeth Stanley and Celia Hopson and many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mabel was a member of Emmanuel Church of Huntingtown where she found great joy in practicing her faith. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to: Emmanuel Church Cancer Ministry, 3800 Old Town Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639. Arrangements by Lee Funeral Home.
