Neilson Hampden Turner, Jr., 81, of Hollywood, MD, died October 19, 2008 at his residence.

Born June 12, 1927 in Richmond, VA he was the son of the late Dr. Neilson H. Turner, Sr. and Virginia Louise (Hening) Turner. He was a 1943 graduate of The Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he was a member of the ROTC program.

Neilson is survived by his son, Christopher M. Turner (Kristen) of Hollywood, MD, his grandchildren, Skylar Turner, Chase Turner, and Mackenzie Turner, brothers, Thomas Turner and Payne Turner both of Richmond, VA and his ex-wife and close friend, Kathy A. Fender. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilda L. Turner.

Family will receive friends for Neilson's Life Celebration on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
