Elizabeth M. "Betty" Anderson, 93, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on August 23, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 30, 1926 in Orange, New Jersey she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth L. Rockacy and William B. Rockacy. Betty lived in various parts of our country including New Jersey, Pittsburgh, PA, Fredericksburg, VA and most recently in La Plata. Her secretary skills enabled her to work for a variety employers, with Koppers being the one she retired from. Betty enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, traveling visiting with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Verner G. Anderson and daughter Kathleen Leach. She is survived by her daughter Susan Hoffmaster and her husband Bob; son-in-law Chris Leach; grandchildren Terri Hoffmaster, Amy Hoffmaster, John Hoffmaster, Michael Hoffmaster, Sara Cebry, Andrea Leach and Eric Leach.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 6PM to 8PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Mass will be offered on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1902 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Charles County, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20603.
