Thomas Reid, 60, of Waldorf, Md., died on August 7, 2019.

He was the loving husband of Karen (Willie) Reid for 39 years.

Born on September 30, 1958, in Oceanside, NY, he was the son of the late Edwin H. and Mary Ann (Halka) Reid.

Tom was a hard working family man. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his yearly trips to Myrtle Beach and basking in the sun. He worked for the United States House of Representatives, Architect of the Capital, for 19 years. Tom enjoyed tinkering in the garage and tending to his yard and garden. Tom was a kind man that was enjoyable to be around. His sense of humor and sarcastic wit were one a kind.

Tom is survived by his wife, Karen; four children, Shannon Reid-Hamilton (James), Justin Reid (Leanne), Marianne Law (Michael), and Christopher Reid; four sisters, Marjorie Hallowell (Bruce), Virginia Dixon (Lee), Ann Marie Minnigan (Thomas), Patricia Rodier (Paul); three brothers, Paul Reid (Susan), Gerard Reid (Karen), Edwin Reid (Stephanie) and nine grandchildren, Madison, Dylan, Brooklynn, Carson, Riley, Taylor, Elijah, Carter and Hannah.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday August 9, from 6-8 PM at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, on Saturday August 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Rd., Barnesville.

Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
