Jack Stanley Pippen of California, MD died on July 29, 2019 at the age of 88. Born in Haskell, Texas on August 11, 1930 Jack was the son of the late Ora C. and Lonnie Pippen of Bridgeport, Texas. In November of 1953 Jack and Elizabeth Link were married and celebrated 66 wonderful years together.

Jack proudly served 9 years in the United States Navy and then 2 years in the Navy Reserves while attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He received a Good Conduct medal, Navy Occupation Service medal and a National Defense Service medal.

Jack was with the Washington Gas Light Company until 1992 when he retired with 30 years of service. He valued the many wonderful friends that shared his life. Jack was a lifetime member and a Melvin Jones recipient of the Lions Club. He was President of Southgate Lions, Camp Springs, MD, President of the Deland Lions is Florida, and was a current member of the Leonardtown, MD Lions. He was also a member of the BPOE Elks, St. Mary's, a past director with Melwood Horticultural, a Jaycee Senator and supported many other civic organizations.

Jack is survived by his wife Betty, his son Jack Pippen Jr., Debary, FL, his daughters Nita Collier, Mechanicsville, MD, Sandy Filer, Annapolis, MD, and Shari Robinson, Stevensville, MD, and his sister Betty Crymes of Arlington, TX. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. All services will be private. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A.
