Thomas Joseph Buckler Jr., 76, of Leonardtown MD died July 30, 2019 at his home. Born November 2, 1942 in Washington DC he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret Buckler Sr.

Thomas was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He then went on to become a Visual Information Specialist for the United States Government. Thomas was an involved member of the community. He was a member of the K of C and the American legion, he taught CCD and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. George's Catholic Church in Valley Lee, MD.

Thomas loved God and Country the most, his greatest passion was baseball. He was a longtime coach at McNamara Catholic High School as well as other organizations throughout his career such as St. Mary's Ryken and the Boys & Girls club.

Thomas is survived by his sisters, Jeanne Colfack (Eddie) of Leonardtown, MD and Cheryl Thompson (John) of Rockville, MD: and his niece and nephews, Christopher, Sean and Steven Colfack, Samuel and Michael Thompson, and Melinda Chavez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Margaret Buckler Sr., his brother, Robert Buckler, and his nephew, Scott Buckler.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at St. George's Church, 19199 St. George's Church Rd, Valley Lee, MD 20692. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm, also at St. George's Church, celebrated by Father Paul Nugyen.
