John Joseph Janschek Sr., 77, of Hughesville, Maryland, died on July 18, 2019 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick. Born on December 14, 1941 in Waldorf, Maryland he was the son of the late Mary Scheungrab Janschek and Nicholas Janschek. Mr. Janschek worked in the mechanical trade for the DC Government. He enjoyed fishing, working on and restoring two-cylinder John Deere tractors. Mr. Janschek was a member of the Hughesville V.F.W.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lora A. Janschek. He is survived by his sons, Joe Janschek Jr., James R. Janschek (Beth), Jerold L. Janschek (Jackie), and Jason A. Janschek (Christine); eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister Ann Richards.
