Corinne Helene Vanagas, 83, Newburg, MD, passed away September 28, 2008.

Mrs. Vanagas was born February 27, 1925, in Breckenridge, MN. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church at Chapel Point, MD. She was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. During her last days she resided at South Winds Senior Living Community.

Daughter of the late Clemmens Sletten and the late Olivia Raitor.

She was predeceased by her parents; her late husband, Gilbert James Vanagas; and her brothers, Lyle Sletten and Phillip Sletten.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter; and a sister, Rosemary Van Zangergen, AK.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Ignatius, Chapel Point, on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, 8:00 AM, with Fr. Edward O'Connell officiating.

Internment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Friday, October 31, 2008, 11AM.
