Michael (Mike) James Mills died suddenly Wednesday April 3rd, 2019 at his home in White Plains, MD at the age of 37. Mike was born May 14, 1982 in La Plata, MD.

Mike is survived by his parents; Robert Lee Mills of White Plains, MD, Cynthia Ann Voorhees of North Myrtle Beach, SC, step-father Lew Voorhees of North Myrtle SC. Siblings; Brian Lee Mills and his wife Holly of Charleston, SC and Melissa Lynn Mills of White Plains. Step siblings; Michael Voorhees and Kristin Walsh. Nieces and Nephews; Hunter Mills, Morgan Mills, Carson Mills and Alissa Bertolo; Grandmother, Anna Lee Mills. He is preceded in death by his grandfather; James Monroe Mills and Milton Elwood McNey, and Grandmother; Dorothy Clair Pinkerton.

He graduated from Westlake High School in 2000. Following high school, he continued his education at the College of Southern Maryland and Alderson Broadus College in West Virginia.

Mike was a man with many talents. He was an outstanding athlete in high school and college. He was known as one heck of a baseball player. He was very mechanical, could repair just about anything; from small engines to his old antique cars. He was a laid-back individual, who loved to fish, shoot pool, and be around his family and friends.

A viewing is scheduled at Huntt Funeral home (3035 Old Washington Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601) on April 8th from 4-8pm. Funeral Service at Huntt Funeral Home on Tuesday April 9th at 10am. A reception to follow at Jimmies Paddock in White Plains, MD. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mikes life. Pastor Green will officiate the ceremony.
