Brenda Sue Bowie, 51, of Nanjemoy, MD, passed away on September 26, 2008.

Mrs. Bowie was a life long resident of Charles County. She graduated from La Plata High School in 1975. She was a Deli Manager at Simmons Store, currently Linda's General for 20 years. She was a devout Christian and a member of Maryland Point Baptist Church. She loved singing, helping others, caring for others, cooking, baking, fishing, NASCAR racing and was a Kasey Kane fan. She was a true friend to the many persons whom she came in contact with and was a true friend and special person.

Born July 8, 1957, in La Plata, MD, she was the daughter of Lora Plumer. She is predeceased by her father; son, Willie and her sister, Loris.

Mrs. Bowie is survived by her husband, Larry M. Bowie; son, Travis Bowie; Brothers, Michael Plumer and Ricky Plumer; sisters, Patsy Gray, Rita Sydnor, Teresa Collins and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2008, 5-8PM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel and a service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008, 11AM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Internment will take place at Nanjemoy Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Passwater and Gerald Hancock will officiate.
