Mrs. Billie Jean Williams, 78, of Waldorf, Maryland was called home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2019 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Williams was born May 30, 1940 in Waverly, Florida to William and Susan Jones. Billie was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. She served the church in so many ways and was a large part of the founding membership along with her loving husband, Preston.

Mrs. Williams worked for Dr. M.L. Krongard, DDS in Waldorf until her retirement. She enjoyed working with children so much that she took that love into her second career as a teacher's assistant in the Life Skills Program within the Charles County School system. She worked at both C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School and J.P. Ryon Elementary School where she had many friends among her coworkers. After leaving the Life Skills Program, which is geared for children with special needs, she continued to volunteer and work part time at the schools. As many of her friends know, Billie loved the Washington Nationals baseball team and planned her vacation to attend Spring training every year.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Claude "Preston" Williams, and her sister, Ella Francis Edwards. She leaves behind a very loving family including her daughter, Jan Williams of Waldorf, her son, Mike Williams and his wife Mary of Salisbury, her daughter, Pam Shadwell and her husband Ricky of Hughesville, as well as her sisters-in-law, Laverne Belk of Danielsville, GA and Shirley Eubanks of Douglasville, GA.

She was also blessed with grandchildren, "her Grands", Sean Maxwell and his wife Lauren, Rebecca Williams, Matthew Williams, Ryan Heroux, Alexa Flores, Nicholas Shadwell and Olivia Shadwell and great grandchildren, Paige Carter and her husband BJ, MyKenzie Maxwell, Nina Williams, Owen Maxwell, Hadleigh Maxwell and Grady Maxwell.
