Dhirajlal Nathala Contractor, 76, Lexington Park, Maryland died at his home on September 27, 2008.

Born January 30, 1932 in Nadiah, India he was the son of the late Nathalal Arjunlal and Maneckbai Nathalal Contractor his wife Paige Ellen died in February 2002.

Mr. Contractor was a graduate of the University of Wichita in Kansas with a double major in Aeronautical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. After graduation, he went to work for the Department of Navy as an Aeronautical Engineer retiring in 1997 from the Naval Air Warfare Center at Patuxent River, Maryland.

He is survived by a daughter Suman Diana Kaba and a son Drew J. Contractor both of Odenton, MD, three sisters; Gunvanti Salamat Singh, Sarojini Ramesh Doctor and Suman Wilson Christian, and one grandson Ian Kaba. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Contractor was preceded in death by two brothers; Wilson Nathalal Contractor and Shantilal Nathala Contractor.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
