Juanita Coomes was born on September 17, 1946 and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, surrounded by family, her pastor, and close friend Rev. Tim Bean. Juanita was a lifelong Charles County resident who was raised in Bryans Road and a resident of Marbury, Maryland at the time of her passing. Juanita was a devout member at Marbury Baptist Church where she frequently volunteered and served as a Deacon. She was close to her large family who she loved to spend time with.

Juanita is preceded in her death by her father, Louis Mathews; mother, Essie Burrell Mathews; husband, William Coomes; son, Timothy Ryman; and brothers, Jack Mathews and Wayne Mathews. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Ryman; granddaughters, Kristy Hoffman (Justin) and Tiffany Ryman; and great grandson, Jackson Hoffman. She is also survived by brothers, David Mathews and Bobby Mathews (Wanda); sisters, Jean Rogers and Barbara Cockerham; sister-in-law, Janet Mathews; and many other loving family members.

All services will be held at Marbury Baptist Church, 4670 Bicknell Road, Marbury, MD 20658. Viewing will be on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m and Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. Pallbearers will be Justin Hoffman, Randy Rogers, Randy Daniels, Daniel Cockerham, Matt Mathews, and Daniel Mathews.
