Brenda Lee Copsey, 47 of Lexington Park, MD passed away on March 24, 2019 unexpectedly after years of battling multiple health problems. Brenda was born on January 1, 1972 in Leonardtown, MD to Anna B. Copsey of Mechanicsville, MD and the late Lawrence S. Copsey.

Brenda adored her grandson, Jayden and he brought her joy with his infectious smile. She loved tanning, and hanging out with her many friends. She was boisterous and friendly, and she didn't mind telling you what she thought! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Erin Battle of Mechanicsville, MD, and Willie Battle of White Plains, MD, grandson, Jayden Dorsey, brother Larry Copsey of Mechanicsville, MD, and sister Crystal Gant (Joey) of Mechanicsville, MD and niece, Desirae. In addition to her father, Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Copsey.

Family will receive friends for Brenda on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 10:00 at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Internement will follow immediately at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Bean Town Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through an Educational Savings Account set up for Jayden M. Dorsey in care of Willie Battle, at Navy Federal Credit Union Account # ******4584.
