Joyce Ann Hogge went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Joyce was born on September 16, 1939 in Johnston City, TN. She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo Russell Stone and Clara Flynn Stone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ted and Tommy, Sister, Juanita.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 63 years, Robert M. Hogge; daughters: Brenda Wise and her husband, (Mike) of Bushwood, MD, and Annette Boucher and her husband, (Randy) of Bowie, MD; and son, Robert Hogge, Jr. of Milton, FL; grandchildren: Tammy Cook and her husband (Rob) of Virginia, Ray Conklin of Lexington Park, Maryland, Michael Boucher and his wife (Jeannie) of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Morgan and husband (Richard) of Tennessee, Robert Hogge and his wife (Krystal) of Kentucky, James Hogge and his wife (Ashley) of Michigan, Jeannie Lyttle and her husband (Jesse) of Pennsylvania, Sarah Hogge and Jonathan Hogge of Florida, 9 great grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews, 7 brothers and sisters.

Joyce dedicated her life to being a loving wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother and great grandmother, and homemaker, who loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed painting, writing short (unpublished) stories and poems. She was always a caregiver, and after her own children were grown, she went to school and became a Nurse's Assistant and also a Maryland Notary Republic, and a secretary.

Joyce had a beautiful smile that would light up any room. She laughed with us, cried with us and always helped us know, no matter how deep the hurt, that it was always going to be alright. She was deeply loved and respected and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The honor of serving the Hogge family has been given to Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf, MD. Services will be held on Friday, March 29th at 10:00am, with Pastor Jerry Skinner officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at 11:00am at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Waldorf, MD. The family would like to thank the staff of MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center and the hospice staff for the care and compassion shown to Joyce and her family.
