Patricia Ann Musick, 64, of Great Mills, MD passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 from ovarian cancer, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 27, 1954 in Purcell, OK to John K. Lytle of California, MD and the late Margaret Clarke Lytle. In May 1975, Patricia married her beloved husband, Thomas Musick in Midland, TX. Together they celebrated over 43 wonderful years of marriage.

She is a 1976 graduate of Texas Tech University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother and supported her husband throughout his naval career. She enjoyed living in Wales and taking horseback riding lessons. She even went on a hunt once, which she enjoyed helping the fox get away. She also learned the art of making delicious cream teas. While living in Guam she took the opportunity to learn to scuba dive. She was an avid reader and passed her love of reading to her daughters, especially Jane Austin novels.

She enjoyed all things nature and made sure to plant appropriate plants for all animals, including birds, bees, butterflies and wildlife. She enjoyed being outside gardening. She was talented in needlepoint and had a beautiful voice. She enjoyed meeting new people, made friends easily and was empathetic towards everyone she met, always making them feel valued and cared for. She was an inspiration to her daughters and a source of strength.

In addition to her father, John and beloved husband, Thomas, Patricia is also survived by her beautiful daughters: Meghan Musick (and husband Jonathan) of Shepherdstown, WV, Francesca Musick Marks (and husband Kenny) of Austin, TX and Cadence Musick of Jacksonville, FL; her brothers, Kirk Lytle and Bill Lytle, both of Oklahoma City, OK; and many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother. All services will be private. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A.
