John D. Farrell Jr., 83, of Hughesville, MD passed away on March 7, 2019 at his residence in Hughesville, MD. John was born on January 29, 1936 in Issue, MD to the late John Daniel Farrell, Sr. and the late Mamie Hill Farrell. John worked as an Electrician and Maintenance Foreman for Charles County Public Schools prior to his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, watching sports, working with his hands and he loved to cut grass.

In addition to John's parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, William "Buck" Farrell, Thomas Farrell, Joseph (Tina) Farrell, John "Harvey" Farrell, Howard Farrell, Melford Farrell and sisters, Lucille Asche, Genevieve Wright, Doris Smith, Grace Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Farrell; son, Tim Farrell and his wife Robyn of Mechanicsville, MD; daughter, Joyce Farrell King and her husband Gerald of Dunkirk, MD; grandchildren, Joseph Daniel Farrell and his wife Tori, Jessica Daniels and her husband Nick, Carson King; great grandchildren, Natalie Farrell and John Michael Farrell.

Family will receive friends for John's Life Celebration Visitation on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will be private.
