Francis "Blue" J Gray, Jr., 77, of Calvert County, MD, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019, at Calvert Health Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born in Washington, DC on July 3, 1941 to Dorothy [King] and Francis Gary, Sr. To his friends and family, he was known as "Blue". Blue was retired from the D.C. Fire Department. His other passions in life included: carpentry, hunting, Nascar Racing and fishing. Blue was a Mate & Captain for Charter Boating on the Chesapeake Bay.

He was the beloved husband of 37 years to Marga Gray and a loving father to his four children. Blue was a devoted grandfather to his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Bob, Rocky, Diane and Kathy and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Raymond & Kenneth and sister Dottie.
