Arthur "Art" C. Farrington Jr., 70, of Owings, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Calvert Health Medical Center. Art was born in Syracuse, NY on January 29, 1949 to the late Arthur and Frances Farrington. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna [Pitts] Farrington, and his daughters Betty Goldstein and her husband Scott, and Wendy White; sisters Patricia Fiorini and Kristen Mulcahy; brothers Ronald Farrington and Mark Farrington; granddaughters Jessica Levine and Sandra Goldstein; grandsons Gabriel White and Tristen White; and stepmother Jacqueline Farrington. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sandra Farrington, and sister Sheila Lynch.

Art grew up in Liverpool, NY, where he attended Liverpool High School. He enlisted in the Air Force in June 1968 and after 15 years was selected for the Airman Education and Commissioning Program. Art attended the University of Maryland University College earning a degree in Computer Science, was commissioned as a First Lieutenant shortly thereafter, and served honorably for 25 years. After retirement, Art and Donna made their home in Maryland, where he continued serving the Air Force as a civilian employee for another 16 years.

In his free time Art enjoyed reading, bowling, fishing, "tinkering" around the house, playing pinochle and poker, interacting on Facebook, especially on the Friends of Liverpool group, and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, Maryland, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Lee Funeral Home, Calvert, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a private internment following the Funeral Service. Art will be laid to rest beside his daughter Sandra Farrington.

Extra years were added to Art's life through the dedication and knowledge of the doctors at Georgetown University Hospital as he experienced a rare brain illness the last five years of his life.
