Guy Nelson Sollinger, 51, of Waldorf died Sept. 15, 2008, at Specialty Hospital, Washington, D.C. Born Jan. 8, 1957, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of the late Nelson R. Sollinger and the late Carol J. Harris.

Mr. Sollinger worked for the federal government as a computer operator for 13 years before retiring on disability. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved animals, history and old movies. He was fond of his cat Callie.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sollinger; sister, Roseanne Fitzgerald; and five nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Timothy Sollinger, and sister, Caroline Sollinger.

Visitation will be held from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at Huntt Funeral Home, Waldorf. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Neurofibromatosis Foundation.
