Travis Alan Saltsman of Hollywood, Maryland, died suddenly on Sunday, September 14, 2008, in Hollywood, MD. He was 21 years old.

Born on October 2, 1986, in Washington, DC, he was the son of Patricia Ann Hense and Glenn Alan Saltsman, step-son of Dawn Kay. Travis, affectionately known as "Trav" or "T", was a satellite installer and sub-contractor for Jedi Communications. He attended Grace Brethren School in Clinton, MD, then later Westlake High School in Waldorf, MD, and graduated with the Class of 2004 at Rocklin High School in California. After high school, Travis served in the U. S. Navy from 2004 to 2005. He enjoyed cars, computers, video games including XBOX 360, hunting, fishing and camping with his dad, jet skiing and snow boarding.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Saltsman and Robert Hense.

In addition to his parents, Travis is survived by his siblings Falin Beall and her husband Jason, Chris Jackson, Ashley Kay, Nick Otto, Heather Saltsman, Taira Saltsman, Sean Saltsman, Amberlee Saltsman and Jaiden White; niece Kailyn Beall; nephew Peyton Beall; grandmothers Janis Saltsman and Ann Myers; grandfather Gene Myers; aunts Jean Forbes and her husband Ricky and Frances Miller; uncles Karl Hense and his wife Bonnie, Kurt Hense and his wife Ana and Jeff Saltsman; also survived by numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

Vistation on Thursday, September 18, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Rodney Spade officiating. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
