Clifton Anderson Barber of Mechanicsville, Maryland died on Friday, November 10, 2006 at his residence. He was 59 years old.

Born July 30, 1947 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland he is the son of Gladys J. and the late Ninian Pinkney Barber. Mr. Barber served in the U. S. Army from 1968 to 1970 with one tour in Vietnam. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Earnshaw Brothers in Bryantown, Maryland for over 32 years. Mr. Barber enjoyed target shooting , restoring and recreating photographs and collecting old model cars. He was of the Episcopal faith and attended the Christ Episcopal Church in Chaptico, Maryland.

In addition to his father, Mr. Barber is preceded in death by his brother John Chapman Barber Sr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Linda Jean Barber; sons Clifton A. Barber Jr., Brett L. Barber and Ryan L. Barber all of Mechanicsville, MD; sister Judith Cecilia Curbow of Stephens City, VA; brother James Cecil Barber of Mechanicsville; grandchildren Kyle Ninian Barber and Chelsey Marie Barber.

Family to receive friends from 5PM to 8PM on Monday, November 13, 2006 at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Funeral Services to be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Maddox Road Chaptico, Maryland on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 11AM with the Reverend W. Jessee Neat oficiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
